An Gael Whiskey Ltd is an independent Irish whiskey company — bonders, blenders, and bottlers of premium Single Malt and Pure Pot Still whiskeys.
We hand-select and appraise casks from distilleries across the island of Ireland, laying them down in bonded warehouses across County Antrim and County Derry to mature as part of our long-term liquid strategy. The An Gael Cask Programme builds inventory to support global distribution of our brand, An Gael — Spirit of the Celts.
HMRC-Approved Bonders
An Gael Whiskey Ltd holds full approval from HMRC (His Majesty's Revenue and Customs — the UK government's tax authority) to buy, store, and mature whiskey casks. This government-regulated status ensures complete transparency over cask ownership and duty suspension. While your cask remains in a bonded warehouse, no alcohol duty or VAT (sales tax) is payable — these taxes only apply if you choose to remove the cask, for example, for bottling.
Bottlers with Global Reach
We sell and distribute An Gael branded whiskey into markets worldwide. As a cask owner, you have the option to bottle your cask through us at competitive commercial rates — a proven exit strategy with access to our established distribution network.
Tax-Efficient Investment
Under UK tax law, whiskey casks sold in their original form are classified as "wasting assets" and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax — meaning you pay no tax on any profit when you sell. This makes cask ownership one of the most attractive alternative investments available. Irish whiskey has been the fastest-growing spirits category globally for over a decade, with double-digit growth showing no signs of slowing.

Michael Morris
Sales Director
Michael Morris has worked in the Irish whiskey industry for over 30 years with senior experience that includes Irish Distillers Group, Cooley Distillery and a number of independent Irish Whiskey Distilleries where he served as a board appointed Director. Michael is an international Sales and Marketing brand strategist and is a partner and Director of An Gael Whiskey Ltd.
Michael has been involved in selling casks for over 6 years and was instrumental in launching the highly successful Hinch Distillery Cask programme - An Chead Dun. More recently he headed up the cask release at Echlinville which celebrated 12 years Distilling at the Co Down Distillery.

Brano Pajer
Technical Director & Investor
Starting his career developing software at 14 and running his first business at 16, Brano brings over twenty years of leading enterprise software development and business leadership to An Gael Whiskey.
As Managing Director of InfoSoft NI since 2007, he has delivered bespoke technology solutions for over 100 clients across vehicle tracking, telemetry, healthcare solutions, and business automation. A graduate of the William J Clinton Leadership Institute, Brano combines technical expertise with strategic business thinking.
Beyond his software expertise, Brano is an active investor across multiple ventures including An Gael Whiskey, Sport-Club.App - a branded mobile platform for sports organisations.
As Technical Director and investor at An Gael, Brano manages all technical operations across every area of the business. He leads the development of our digital cask platform, bringing transparency, security, and accessibility to whiskey investment through integrated KYC verification and digital deed transfer systems.
His vision: marrying traditional Irish whiskey craft with modern technology to connect collectors and investors worldwide with exceptional casks and returns.
