How to Exit

Your Options for Cask Liquidation

How to Exit

When you're ready to exit your whiskey cask investment, you have the following options:

Bottle Under Our Brand

We can bottle your cask under our brand as An Gael Whiskey single cask bottled for [Your Name]. We handle the full process including bottling, labelling, and packaging. This is the simplest route if you want a premium finished product with your name on it. Contact us to discuss quantities and timelines. Bottling typically takes 8-12 weeks from instruction.

Sell Your Cask Back to Us

When you are ready to sell, we will provide a professional appraisal of your cask based on current market conditions and age. We will then make you a firm buyback offer. There is no obligation to accept, and the process can be initiated at any time through your dashboard or by contacting our team. Appraisals are typically provided within 5 working days.

Sell Your Cask Yourself

You are free to sell your cask privately to any buyer at any time. As the legal owner, the cask is yours to trade. We can assist with the transfer of ownership records at the Warehouse. Ownership transfers are typically processed within 5 working days of receiving the new owner's details.

Bottle For Personal Consumption

You can bottle your cask for your own private enjoyment. We will manage the bottling process on your behalf, including removal from bond, bottling, and delivery. Please note that VAT and excise duty become payable when the spirit leaves the bonded warehouse (see our FAQ for details). Bottling and delivery typically takes 8-12 weeks from instruction.
